The wiring harness was old and needed replacing. They ordered a painless wiring harness, new wiper motor and a Webber carb for my Jeep. They installed the CJ dash and had to cut out heat vents in the YJ windshield frame and in the cowl. They did a great job. I went to the RMV and got plates for the CJ7 and told them that the Jeep was now Blue. Now Excited about driving my CJ7 for the first time in almost 3 years, I got a ride up to Elias 4WD center, looked the Jeep over, thanked Lou, and attached the plates on the Jeep. Off to take a long awaited drive and then get a sticker.
I could not believe it I was driving my CJ7 again it fell like an old, but new friend. I drove the Jeep home and started mounting the CB radio back in. Then I remounted my Warn 8274 8,000 winch back in place. Hooked up the inside winch control switch (with return to center). Not wanting to mount my 33" tire off the body I used a Patriot Tire carrier, drilled the hole, fitted it up placed a wet rag over the gas filler and used my Miller stick welder to weld the tire carrier on. I got a Jeep sound bar from a late model YJ and installed it on the 95 Roll cage and installed roll bar padding. I picked up a Duster cover, and a Safari top that covers all the way back over the rear seat.
I then connected the on board air, and made a gas peddle throttle, to keep the RPM's up when winching.
