![]() Moses Ludel Bentley Publishers and New England Jeep owners The members of local jeep clubs Patriot Jeepers, Inc., NEWJO and New England 4 Wheelers were invited to a technical session Featuring Moses Ludel at their Cambridge, Mass. studio on Monday Oct 13. 2003 (Columbus day) Using attendee's vehicles on a lift, Moses lead us trough the progress and changes of the Jeep CJ model run, answering questions along the way. Moses covered the highlights of what year components may be most ideal as well as alternate sources for component swapping. The Event started at 9 am with a breakfast of coffee, juice, bagels, and donuts. Pizza was served for lunch. The event ended around 3 PM. Moses has two new books coming out from Bentley Publishers The CJ Rebuilderís Manual 1946-1971 The CJ Rebuilderís Manual 1972-1986 Moses has written many manuals in the past including The Jeep Ownerís Bible. This book is in its third revision. I had Moses sign his first version of this book 1993 About the Author (From the back page of that first version) An Avid fly fisherman, hunter, canoeist and four-wheeler Mosel Ludel took his first drivers test in the family CJ5 Jeep. Two years later, at age eighteen, he drove the Rubicon trail by the back route (east to west), starting at Miller Lake and tracking an unmarked trail across the Sierra Mountains to Placerville, California. Moses worked as a journey truck mechanic and heavy equipment operator before receiving a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Oregon. He has taught adult education level courses in automotive/diesel mechanics. He established himself as an automotive journalist and photographer, with a specialty in four-wheel drive vehicles. Moses has published nearly 600 technical features and columns since 1982. His magazine credits include Off-Road, Four Wheeler, 4WD Action /SUV, 4x4 Magazine Japan, Trailer Life, Motorhome, Popular Hot Rodding, Corvette Fever and many others. He currently writes four monthly technical columns for national magazines. Moses is a board member of the Tread Lightly! Program, also serving on the membership and environmental ethics committees.
